| THE COMPANY:
Our Client, a retail finance arm of a leading global FTSE 200 Financial Services group, is introducing an analytics-based approach for lending and marketing in this business for the first time. This is an excellent opportunity to create a function from scratch within the security of a major global group.
THE ROLE:
Reporting into the Director of Risk you will:
- T· Maximise the profitability and performance of the credit portfolio, through developing and applying optimal customer management strategies whilst ensuring that credit risk is controlled within defined parameters and targets
- · Increase the effectiveness of the collections process through development of policy and strategy informed by collections scorecards, testing and analyses
- · Undertake the monitoring of the portfolio's credit performance, identification of trends, forecasting bad debt, and providing the basis for effective bad debt provisioning
- · Develop and document underwriting policy and procedures for customer management
- · Develop and implement the relevant monitoring processes to ensure policies are performing and are continuously improved
THE PERSON:
You can ideally offer:
- At least five years experience in modelling and analysis using statistical techniques such as regression, cluster analysis, multivariate analysis and profitability analysis
- Experience of customer strategy management, and collections processes
- Three years team management experience including prioritisation and workload allocation, and teamwork at a senior level
- Experience of credit risk modelling or similar, including hands-on knowledge of SAS or equivalent statistical packages
- Strong commercial acumen
- Programming, database extraction and reporting skills
- Demonstrable understanding of how external factors influence credit risk
