CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT CREDIT ANALYST

THE COMPANY:

Our Client is a recently established Credit Card issuer and part of a global FTSE 200 Financial services Group. Following confirmation of this young business's viability, sign-off of the long term business plan has been given and now a number of individuals are sought to deliver a comprehensive Value Management-based approach to analytics and the business.

THE ROLE:

Reporting into the Credit Manager you will:

  • Increase the profitability and performance of the credit portfolio, by developing and applying predictive models and customer management strategies
  • Increase the effectiveness of the collections process by developing collections scorecards and supporting strategy analysis
  • Design and apply monitoring processes to ensure models and strategies are performing and are continuously improved
  • Analyse and document underwriting policy and procedures for customer management and collections decisioning
  • Develop and populate monitoring and MI programs for the derivation and reporting of key statistics such as roll rates, and identification of trends, providing the basis for risk/reward optimisation and effective bad debt provisioning

THE PERSON:

You can ideally offer:

  • At least two years experience of management information analysis, including hands-on knowledge of SAS, SQL or equivalent analytic packages, ideally in a retail credit risk context
  • Strong mathematical skills, with a logical and high level analytic approach to problem-solving, including ability to investigate data, find trends, build predictive models and provide recommendations that improve the profitability of the business.
  • Detailed understanding of the modelling process together with a proactive approach to its application within the business to enhance customer value
  • Experience in modelling and analysis using statistical techniques such as regression or multivariate analysis
  • Programming, database extraction and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including in particular Excel and Powerpoint
