Our Client, a leading International Retailer with an existing Financial Services arm has established the first European operation in its' drive to build an International Credit Card company from scratch. In order to achieve their strategic growth plans the Management Team has identified the need for a Data Manager in a highly visible role.

Reporting to the Head of European IT you will:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Data Strategy managing relationships with suppliers
• Become an expert in available data and provide solutions to business issues
• Develop a strong data model and determine data quality
• Carry out ad hoc modelling and analysis utilising relational database technology
• Act as the 'guardian' of data for projects
• Some travel will be required

You can ideally offer:

• In excess of 2 years experience specifically working with a relational database such as Oracle, db2, Sybase, SQL, Terradata, preferably within Banking / Financial Services
• Solid analytical skills
• Proven Data Warehouse experience across the development lifecycle
• Experience of data modelling
• Strong expertise in the extraction, manipulation and presentation of data Demonstrable analytical and quantitative skills
• The ability to use data and convert into innovative and practical solutions and strategies
