Job Title: Risk & Analytics Consultant
Location: London
Salary: c.£60,000

The Company:

Our client is one of the World's leading Consultancies with operations globally. 

The Role:

• Ownership of small to medium size projects requiring exploratory meetings to define requirements, writing the project proposal, producing the project plan, presenting, reporting and publishing results.

• Provision of expert advice according to Client requirements; recommending the optimum solution across all market verticals, including banking, mortgages, mail order, credit cards, loans, store cards, telecommunications and government.

• Undertaking complex risk scorecards and/or marketing models projects covering all scorecard development stages, including sample design, performance analysis, population split analysis and reject inference.

• Provision of expert guidance, training and support to inhouse staff. 

• Analysing, interpretating and modelling Client data.

• Supervise and quality check project and analysis work undertaken by Associate Consultants and Senior Analysts, ensuring all work is undertaken to the required quality standards and Service Level Agreements.

• The creation of intelligent solutions for Clients including all model types such as Decision Trees, Exploratory Data Analysis, CHAID analysis, Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, Principle Component Analysis and Cluster Analysis.

• Support Sales by undertaking professional presentations up to and including Board level.

The Person:

  • A minimum of an upper second class degree in a relavant subject such as Mathematics, Statistics or Economics.
  • An MSc would be advantageous. 
  • Successful development and delivery of at least 6 risk or marketing scorecard development projects.
  • Successful management of at least 1 Analyst in the delivery of scorecard development projects.
  • Proven ability of managing the delivery of at least 4 large analytical projects effectively and excellent knowledge of project management tools.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of scorecard development.
  • Current knowledge of the credit risk lifecycle, the latest market conditions across all market verticals and compliance / regulatory requirements.
  • A strong working knowledge of Basel Ratings Methodology and Framework.
  • Proven knowledge of programming languages, SAS, SQL and Visual Basic.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present professionally to a variety of audiences at different levels
  • A Team player with the abilty to work co-operatively.
