Our Client, a retail finance arm of a leading global FTSE 200 Financial Services group, is introducing an analytics-based approach for lending and marketing in this business for the first time. This is an excellent opportunity to create a function from scratch within the security of a major global group.

Reporting into the Director of Risk you will:

• Design, develop and run a comprehensive MI database and reporting solution
• Verify all data and check data quality and consistency
• Produce accurate and timely MI for the Credit and Risk Team and as required to support the business, including automated reports
• Produce scorecard and credit policy performance monitoring reports for the Credit and Risk team
• Support the Credit and Risk team with analysis and research on Credit performance and Business profitability
• Undertake ad hoc analysis to support the Credit and Risk team
• Extensive liaison with all areas of the business including Strategic Brand Marketing, Product Management, Finance, IT and Corporate Development
• Some travel will be required

You can ideally offer:

• At least two years experience in the Credit Risk sector or in Retail Finance
• Relevant experience of working with MI and reporting, designing and producing MI, systems understanding, detailing requirements, project management and MI strategic development
• Programming, database extraction and reporting skills. Ideally experience of using SAS otherwise similar statistical packages
• Strong analytical skills, with a logical approach to problem-solving, including ability to investigate data, find trends and make sound recommendations
• Good communication and team work skills
• Uses MI and reporting as a means to drive profitability and business understanding
