| THE COMPANY:
Our Client is a major UK retail Bank. Following continued growth it is seeking to enhance and strengthen its' risk department. Thus it is looking to recruit 2 Managers within Group Credit for Analytics Modelling based in Scotland.
THE ROLE:
Reporting into a Senior Manager, Group Credit for Analytics & Retail you will:
- Develop and apply first class credit analytic techniques for the production of rating tools
- Contribute to the oversight, development and implementation of credit analysis tools used within the Group
- Support the Group in its' progress towards capital benefits achieved under BIS II IRB approach
- The development of regression based credit rating models
- Liaise with divisional credit risk teams to integrate developments into routine production/use within business areas
- Development of stochastic cashflow based rating approaches
- Provision of technical support to business facing teams including the review of credit models and their implementation and documentation in support of model approval by the FSA
- Delivery of accurate and complete models and documentation within agreed timescales
- Provide functional leadership to Credit Analytics specialists throughout the Group in developing credit models and implementing models within credit processes.
- Review of credit models developed by the Divisions and documentation of results
- Prototype and development of new development techniques and systems as appropriate
- Provision of analytical support/consultancy to other areas of Group Risk and the divisions
- Maintenance of relationships with third parties e.g. external consultants, divisional risk contacts
- Participation in risk reviews undertaken by Retail and other GFR divisional facing credit teams
- Assist divisional credit analytic teams in putting forward credit model justification/validation to the FSA and others
THE PERSON:
You can ideally offer:
- Highly numerate with a degree in a mathematical or related discipline
- Some one whom is working towards a higher degree or professional qualification would be particularly desirable
- 3 - 5 years experience in the development of credit rating tools gained within a financial services organisation
- Strong IT skills likely to include SAS or SPSS, Access, VBA
